Survivor Leader - Founder of the LEAH Foundation
Nigeria

Rebecca is the mother of Leah Sharibu, who was abducted when she was 14-years-old from her school in Nigeria by Boko Haram in 2018 along with 109 of her classmates. Leah refused to renounce her faith, and she continues to be held by her traffickers to this day.  Her mother, Rebecca, advocates not only for the release of her daughter but also for vulnerable and trafficked girls throughout Nigeria. She is the founder of the LEAH Foundation which provides education, advocacy and assistance to girls who have been trafficked.
